About This Spot

Stepping into Dimitri's Opa Restaurant feels like entering a warmly familiar neighborhood table where time slows just enough for you to savor the moment. The atmosphere is comfortably unpretentious, a gentle hum of conversation mingling with the clink of plates and soft background music. It’s a place where families and longtime friends gather, sharing stories over satisfying meals that bridge Greek tradition and classic American comfort.

The pace here invites you to lean back and enjoy without rush. Sunlight streaming through the windows in the morning enhances the leisurely vibe, making it a welcome spot to start the day. By lunch or dinner, the welcoming staff delivers a steady flow of hearty plates that feel thoughtfully prepared, each one carrying a sense of home through generous portions and balanced flavors.

Rather than just ordering off a menu, guests often come for the familiar nods to both Mediterranean and Midwestern favorites—the tang of a fresh Greek salad drizzled with that distinctively bright dressing, the satisfying heft of a burger with a hint of Mediterranean flair, or the tender, slow-cooked comfort in dishes like meatloaf or cabbage soup that warm from the inside out. Breakfast here doesn’t rush by; it’s an opportunity to indulge in sweet cinnamon-swirled pancakes or a savory wrap that pairs effortlessly with rich coffee and friendly smiles.

What lingers is the quiet joy of a meal made by people who know their craft and cherish their community. It’s the kind of place you return to not just for the food, but for the easy-going rhythm that invites you to relax, reconnect, and appreciate simple, honest flavors served with genuine warmth.

First time, pretty enjoyable experience. Overall, it's better than a diner or Greasy Spoon, but not haute cuisine either. Good food in good quantities at a reasonable price. My roast beef was excellent and the mashed Potatoes were incredible. My friends gyro platter was thoroughly enjoyed.

This is another family owned business that has awesome food. I had a hot meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes and gray. The bread was very from, and the flavor was awesome. I forgot to take a picture, sorry. However, I had a cup of cabbage soup that was as good or better than the sandwich. Look at the picture, which is quite big for a cup.

Hav not been here in awhile and I don’t know why I don’t come more often, it’s absolutely scrumptious. The Greek salad is to die for especially the pink dressing. The saganaki burger was HUGE and delish. The only dislike was the fries, they have that extra coating or extra crunch which I prefer just regular fries. Overall amazing food and the waitress was on point.

This was my fourth time eating here. Excellent as always. The prices are reasonable for a good quality meal. Very friendly wait staff and the owners are super accommodating. They allowed us to bring in a birthday cake. I can attest that the Greek salad, London broil, lamb chops, rubin, salmon and burgers are fantastic. Dimitri's is our go to when in Chesterfield.

Alright, let's dive into a detailed review of the Dimitri Burger, priced at $11. Initial Impression: Upon first glance, the Dimitri Burger presents itself well. The bun has a slight sheen, suggesting it's been lightly toasted or buttered, which is always a plus. The layering of ingredients is visually appealing, with the promise of textures and flavors peeking out. Components and Quality: * Patty: The cornerstone of any burger is the patty. For $11, expectations are for a high-quality beef, cooked to a precise doneness. Ideally, it should be juicy, with a good sear on the outside for added texture and flavor. If it's a blend, the ratio of different cuts of meat should complement each other, enhancing both taste and mouthfeel. * Bun: The bun should be sturdy enough to hold the burger together without being too dense. A brioche or potato bun would be a solid choice, offering a slight sweetness and softness that contrasts well with the savory patty and other ingredients. * Toppings: This is where the Dimitri Burger can set itself apart. If it includes cheese, it should be melted perfectly, with a slight pull when you take a bite. Fresh toppings like lettuce, tomato, and onion should be crisp and vibrant, adding a refreshing element. Pickles, if included, should have a good crunch and tang. Special sauces or spreads should complement the other flavors without overpowering them. Taste and Texture: The first bite should be an explosion of flavors. The savory patty, the sweetness of the bun, the tang of the pickles, and the creaminess of the cheese should all work in harmony. The textures should be equally balanced, with the softness of the bun, the juiciness of the patty, and the crunch of the toppings creating a satisfying experience. Overall Value: At $11, the Dimitri Burger needs to deliver on both quality and quantity. It should be filling enough to justify the price, leaving you satisfied but not overly stuffed. If the ingredients are top-notch and the flavors are well-balanced, it could be considered a worthwhile indulgence. However, if the patty is dry, the toppings are lackluster, or the overall experience is underwhelming, it may not be worth the price. Conclusion: The Dimitri Burger, at $11, has the potential to be a standout option. Its success hinges on the quality of its ingredients, the balance of its flavors, and the overall experience it provides.

I was there for a Christian Motorcyclist Association meeting. We used their banquet room, which is very convenient and large enough for our needs. We had a new waitress who was a little slow, but that was understandable. The food is always good, and they have a great selection with many price points.

Okay, so imagine this: I stumbled upon this tiny, hole-in-the-wall burger joint, right? "Dimitri's," it was called, and they had this burger – the Dimitri Deluxe – for just $11. Now, I'm usually skeptical of cheap eats, but the aroma wafting from that place was too tempting to ignore. And juicy? Man, this thing was practically dripping with flavor. The first bite was a revelation. The patty, some kind of magical blend of beef and spices, was cooked to perfection. The bun was soft and pillowy, and the toppings – crispy lettuce, ripe tomatoes, tangy pickles, and a secret sauce that I swear was made by angels – all worked together in perfect harmony. It was the kind of burger that made you close your eyes and savor every single bite. But here's where it gets wild. A few weeks later, I ran into this old guy who used to be a regular at Dimitri's. He told me he'd been diagnosed with cancer, and the doctors had given him just months to live. Desperate, he started eating a Dimitri Deluxe every single day. And guess what? He went into remission! Now, I'm no scientist, but I'm telling you, there's something special about that Dimitri Burger. Maybe it's the love they put into it, maybe it's the secret sauce, or maybe it's just plain magic. But whatever it is, that $11 burger might just be the cure we've all been waiting for.
